Your great grandfather sounds incredibly based!

Mine had the dubious honors of smuggling booze as an early teen, and allegedly helped popularize deposit fees because he would rent all the major party halls in his city, and then cancel all but one, ensuring he ran the only big party in town on a given weekend.

My grandfather helped your grandfather by going up in untested fighter planes with the pilots and checking to make sure none of the bolts were loose.

He was also an air raid warden in London, meaning he was out on the streets getting people to safety while the bombs were dropping.

I wish I had an ounce of that man’s courage… although, being both Jewish and German, he knew exactly what had to be stopped.

He started off as Infantry sent to Gallipoli, then joined the Australian Flying corps and flew over Ypre and the Somme. After the end of WW1 he joined the RAF and flew medium bombers over Europe during WW2.

Bullshit. Fascism sees violence not as a means to an end, but a goal unto itself. It will be violent regardless. In contrast, even the most bloodthirsty anti-fascist sees violence as a means to an end; something to be left behind as soon as its purpose is complete.

If you want to stop it without violence, it has to be now. Once rooted in, a violent response is the only one that will work. Pretending otherwise will only enable them.

Unfortunately. She literally rammed her car into another car allegedly just because they made her mad. She had serious mental health issues, and it’s horrible that she died, but the same people don’t care when it isn’t one of “theirs.” They’ll make excuses for police violence in every case except where it was almost the only logical choice for said agent. Like what was he supposed to do? Some of those people were actually armed despite lies to the contrary. I’d be shitting my pants if the MAGA mob were making my work day that bad. What did they expect? I thought the Capitol police were absolutely incredibly soft and very very professional.

I just hope violence is kept at a minimum. Most of the people where I live are Trumpies (well the older crowd especially) and they truly are just totally oblivious. They certainly aren’t evil. It’s so unfortunate because these are people I’d say are good people. They’ve never killed or directly harmed a soul to my knowledge. I just hope if there’s violence that it’s targeted top heavy because we all know who the problem(s) are and they could probably be counted by any tally counter that goes to 1k. AKA don’t focus on the manipulated, focus on the manipulator(s).

Please note this is in no way condoning any violence outside of Minecraft

This is exactly how it started in Germany in the 1930ths:

Old people dreaming of the Empire - which by the way did very little for them - and not really into politics. They just wanted a change.

And then voted for their own hangman.

Best argument a relative told me why he voted for Hitler: “I thought he was a funny guy with excellent dark humor. I didn’t knew he wasn’t joking.”

      What?

Have you ever considered that you are crafting a subjective world around you that doesn’t exist? Nothing about this post has anything to do with firearms or the United States.

It’s a commentary on the need to respond to those who use force to dominate others, with force. The firearm, bat, or otherwise is a metaphor representing appropriate uses of violence (to overcome a fascist oppressor).

Being able to understand and interpret images and text is a skill you should have at least learned the basics of by high school, otherwise you end up misunderstanding the whole world and spend your life angry at things while everyone around you looks at you and thinks, “What?”.

Also right now in Ukraine they’re kindly winning by sending strong worded memes and letters.

And Myanmar, they’re also fighting with just words.

You people are delusional if you think you can defeat authoritarian fascist with kindness and words and voting.

The only reason that fascist listen to is force. Get over it. Nothing in this world is given when it has been already taken by force.

Just because people think a military needs arms, that doesn’t mean they think their unhinged neighbor needs them. The 2A says a well regulated militia should have arms, not just any rando.

This wasn’t even a debate until recently. In the Old West every town had a prohibition on guns in town. If they didn’t need them, you don’t.

What it sounds like is you would play the role of gas chamber victim. You need help if you really believe that. It’s not healthy to be that afraid. You’re not going to be a partizan in a righteous war.

I am related to many people who fought and died in WW1 and 2. I know Holocaust survivors too, number tattoos and everything. Do you know how many guns they have? Like 3 disused hunting rifles total. Do you know what they say they learned fighting actual Nazis? Live your life and don’t be afraid.

You don’t need a gun to feel like a big man. It’s a safety blanket for adults. Fear is the thing that will actually kill you. King George III and Hitler can’t hurt you.

2Aliberals, the SRA, pink pistols, Operation blazing sword, NAAGA, JPFO, tons of non-republican groups out there for gun rights. You’re absolutely right, it’s people who have never had to deal with the reality that other people might exist in a harmful way to them. Most I’ve noticed live in safe neighborhoods and think the police will be there to protect them.

Have you been living under a rock for the last 10 years? Antifascist groups in the US have been predominantly armed for a long fucking time. Are you so ignorant blindingly ignorant that you missed that, are you just trying to be deceptive, or are you just so far up your own ass that you can’t imagine people outside your cult would be able to defend themselves?

Lol not to the level that most magats are, stop fooling yourself the antifa groups are made up of 99% wanting to ban firearms. I’m part of that 1% and know others that are as well. We literally get chastised for speaking about arming others. You’re fooling yourself if you think it’s different.

This has not at all been my experience. Most antifa groups are primarily anarchist or communist, which have never opposed arming people. Unless shit has been flooded by liberals in the last couple of years, I have no idea where this is coming from.

Edit: are these people actually doing stuff, or are these online circle jerks? Because the people who’ve been doing stuff since the 80’s are primarily anarchists. If this is just online circle jerks, yeah, sounds like liberals.

In Seattle, a bunch of liberals started a group formed roughly on anarchist ideas to resist Trump. They got thousands of people together and basically did nothing. Anarchists got together a few dozen people and actually got shit done. I don’t consider things like the Neighborhood Action Council or whatever the fuck it was called “antifascist” no matter what they may claim. If you are risking your lives in the streets, you know why it makes sense to be armed against these fucks. If your “antifascism” is voting, you’re fucked.

The number of us who marched during the BLM movements armed where a lot less than those who were on the anti-blm side…and it was fucked up because the side we were there to protest with felt we were in the wrong. This is really well documented from all the footage online. The number of armed anti-blm vs the BLM groups were completely lopsided.

Alright, yeah, that’s fair. I still think the “you’re antifa thus you’re anti-2a” is fucking stupid and obviously wrong.

There’s a much more nuanced conversation that needs to happen on the left about guns. I absolutely hate liberals for making that impossible. They will continue to help fascists kill us because, even after everything, liberals still hate leftists more than fascists.

You’re preaching to the choir. Hell you can see how the reaction is here.

But I’ll try and continue to convert as many as I can. An armed minority is harder to oppress.
