If you disable the Ethernet/WiFI then you can create a local account, but you have to do a small.extra step…
press SHIFT+F10 keys to open Command Prompt.
Run the following: OOBE\BYPASSNRO
After this, setup will reboot the computer and you’ll get a new option I don’t have Internet or Continue with limited setup to skip the Internet requirement and you can create a local account as well.
Or, when it asks for your email address and password enter a@a.com and any random password. It will tell you that account has been deactivated and allow you to set up a local account.
It’s not fully equal, but it’s way closer than people think. I tried Ubuntu in the mid teens and quit over lack of access to gaming. Last summer I switched to Garuda from Windows 11 and while there have been bumps in the road, gaming hasn’t been one of them. Proton just works for basically everything I try

I think it’s any email that’s been excessively used. no@thankyou.com is another example a lot of tutorials use.
I use fuck@microsoft.com
Looool

We’re getting there with Proton!
Many games have a much better experience under Linux.

If a tech billionaire can’t take a few min to Google how to then he is a dumbass that won’t know how to do that step.
but he totally knew more about microservices than the thousands of engineers he fired!
Been failing for lately. Now you have to:
cd oobe
Then run:
bypassnro.cmd
Guess they took the OOBE directory out of the path.
That’s odd! I ran it yesterday on a new install.
