The bees started in the attic and went deep into the walls - they had to remove 45kg (100 pounds) of honeycomb out of the walls and had to do three extractions to remove the bees. They fucked up the electrical wiring too (which was probably not limited to the wall with the nest). It also was 20000$ // 16000£.
£20,000 is more than $20,000, I’m quite surprised it cost that much though, I had my entire roof ripped off, in a storm and the cost came in at £7,000 to fix and that cost included electrical work since I wanted the attic wired for lighting again.
I just used an online conversion calculator and $7000 gbp is Iess than $9500 USD. $9500 USD seems low for an entire roof replacement plus electrical work for my little corner of the States, (unless I hire Bob’s Roof Repair as his first client and get 5% off for leaving a 5-star review on Google before the work is completed).
