Those hicks still using steel ducting on their jet cars. They work only after the rain has passed. The formula1 brushes, otoh, have advanced water repelling carbon nano bristles that work even in a downpour, as illustrated in the pic.

    Not even close, mate!

The cheap shitty poncho that is almost certainly disintegrating at that moment in time is just the icing on the cake.

Nascar can get an entire fully wet track in high humidity bone dry in at most 2 hours which the banked ovals make absolutely necessary. Today in F1 (Singapore GP) it rained for a short time but very heavy on one part of the track and F1 for whatever reason gets the brooms out and overall fails badly with wetness.

Nascar tech could have blasted away deep standing water in a couple minutes and leave the wet weather tires on the F1 cars to handle the rest but F1 is too cheap to invest in infrastructure and unpaid manual labour is cheaper than automation.

In Formula 1 the tracks are sweeped manually with brooms to clear away carbon fiber and other debris, while Nascar seems to have that blower truck thing.

OP reverses the state of things and calls the blower the product of peasants and praises the brooms as the tool at the pinnacle for fun.
