Number 5 definitely.
Stanley wouldn’t try to get all chatty with me, and we’d both just do our crosswords in peace for the duration of the trip. Our only interaction will be a knowing nod as we deplane, non-verbally thanking each other for not talking to them.
This is correct. I was thinking 9 for similar reasons, but Kelly right behind me makes it a bad option.
Toby would definitely try annoying small talk though
Bonus if we’re going to Tallahassee.
I would absolutely hang out with Florida Stanley.
Stanley!! Most relaxed flight of my life.
5 or 9, pretty sure either of then would just out headphones on, and very likely they would end up falling asleep.
Stanley is slightly safer than Toby, since Toby would probably be the target of some shenanigans…
God, it will be great, we’re going to ignore each other the whole time and never think about the other person ever again.
Stanley. He’d leave me alone and I’d leave him alone.
Next to Stanley 😂
If you’re seated in position:
- You’ll have Jim reaching over you and saying to Dwight: “I’m not touching you. I’m not touching you”
- Andy will tell you of his latest sexual conquests, Gabe will try to match or one-up him with clearly fake stories
- Could be interesting. Creed’s an odd one, and Kevin can be fun. Expect to come away with evidence of multiple crimes for one or both of them.
- Me-ow! If you’re not having pictures of Angela’s cats shoved in your face, then you’ll be dealing with Angela being catty towards Pam. Also, Angela probably has at least 6 cats in her carry-on. Plan ahead, allergy-wise.
- Best seat in the house. Stanley won’t bother you, and if you don’t bother him, you’ll have a nice peaceful flight.
- You’re probably gonna see some stuff and likely be asked to join in. Even if you’re tempted, don’t. It’s a trap. Bob Vance Vance Refrigeration will kick your ass…afterwards.
- You’re absolutely going to get something thrown at you. Michael will refuse to switch seats so you can hide from Hurricane Jan with Oscar. You also won’t be able to get any drinks because Jan caused the flight attendant to cut off the whole row (before that, she’d just take them from the FA but not pass them to you).
- You’ll finally understand why people flip out and try to open the doors mid-flight.
- The only silver lining of sitting next to Toby is he may strangle you so you don’t have to listen to Kelly and Ryan anymore.
#3 You forgot about the smell!
You think I don’t already have some sprouted mung beans in my pocket?
Not just Creed’s mung beans. On a plane Kevin doesn’t have Jim’s office to fart in.
Mung beans. Very nutritious, but they smell like death.
- Stanley is going to sleep the whole time.
Yes but close proximity to 6, which you can’t turn away from.
Definitely 3. Good mix of entertainment and minding our own business. (Assuming neither brought any beans)
#5 or #9.
Stanley would be quiet the whole flight as would Toby I’m sure.
I can imagine Toby making awkward conversation. regardless, he’s definitely one of the more tame seating positions.
I’m sure I could just ask him to stop and he would. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who would impose himself.
I agree. With Dwight, Kelly, they probably wouldn’t.
He’s also so awkward, if you just put headphones on and ignored/pretended not to hear him, he’d just give up and leave you alone.
This is my answer too.
9 is close to the front and will leave me alone. Same with 5, but that’s a lot more people to wait for getting off.
1 and 5 are the only choices. It is close, but I am going with 1.
My order descending in preference: 3. Creed is crazy and fun to listen to as well as Kevin. Just have to keep an eye on my wallet and hope Creed doesn’t smell too bad. The smell is the biggest risk I think. 9. Others hate Toby but he’s alright honestly, albeit awkward. Basically what many of my friends have been. Just have to work about him being too awkward which isn’t too bad. 5. Stanly is quiet while I usually am not. Only reason Stanley is below Toby is because Toby would be more open to talking. Regardless, minding my own business around stanly isn’t bad. 4. This is the start of potentially bad seats. Angela may be quiet because she don’t like Pam, or talk about God/cats to An annoying extent. Pam may try to talk or be quiet because she’s worried about Angela’s judginess. This may feel tense or even get arfumentative.
- Jim and Dwight are funny to watch when you can remove yourself from the situation, not while sitting with them. If I’m lucky, they will leave each other alone. If I’m not, Jim will annoy Dwight, and/or Dwight will be annoying as well.
- Andy and Gabe will be telling crazy stories, fighting with each other, and being dumb the whole home I bet. Very annoying.
- Kelly will not shut up. It will be pretty annoying. Ryan would maybe talk to me about investing or be elitist about some tech stuff. From 4 to here, these are all groups of people I would be annoyed with and would prefer not to sit with. Next though are the groups that are way worse
- Jan and Michael would be bickering and trying to bring Oscar and mimme into to join sides.maybe throwing stuff or intentional spilling of things . 6 Vance and Phylis seem like they would get way too touchy in a way that they don’t care who sees. I think it’s worse than dealing with Jan and Michael.
Anywhere except 8, 7, or 2.
I’m just realizing Darryl and Meredith are missing. I feel both of them in a row would be a fun time. Darryl would probably enjoying egging Meredith on to drink shots or something.
My seat will be behind the viewer. There’s a curtain and booze.
In those empty rows back left of the picture.
