I got another compliment on the color of my nails! And this time it was from a cute dude with a mustache
Being old is knowing this song.
Feeling old is empathizing with the back pain.
Oh hell yeah
part of me wants to keep moping alone and thinks the act of perceiving and being perceived makes me wanna vomit my whole soul out in disgust
This is what I would do, which is a near perfect indicator of what not to do
Coming soon to a state near yooouuuu!
Literally every job I have ever had as a matter of fact
First full day I’ve been out doing stuff with my nails painted. Got complimented on the color, made me feel good
I did not, but I was using the same remover as last time so idk
We’ll see if it lasts but it’s a start so far. Fingers crossed (sorry) that I can keep it up.
Tyvm for bringing this to my attention
That was an issue I had last time actually, and went out of my way to avoid this time. I usually end up fucking with my cuticles a bit every time I trim my nails anyway because I just can’t help it. I did manage to not really bite my fingernails all week though, which should make painting them easier this weekend!
Ok, right on thank you for the advice! I definitely get how this works in theory, very similar to painting in general which I have experience in. I just never know if there is some specific thing I’m fucking up, so I always second guess and seek out another opinion. Regardless, they turned out pretty well this time, and I know how to be better next time. Thank you friend!
Ok good to know. Idk why this didn’t happen the other couple times then, I guess I just got lucky at first? Thanks for the frame of reference, I appreciate the input!
Toes were completely dry, I made sure to wipe them off/dry before application. I did not use lotion.
When I was trying to apply, the polish wasn’t sticking(?) to the nail the way it has previously. Like a little bit adhered, but mostly I was just smearing it around until it kind of dried a tiny bit and I could put more on top of the first layer.
Will definitely try the rubbing alcohol thing first next time, thank you! Should I wait a bit after doing that before painting? I had no idea nail polish thinner existed, I will see about getting some and give it a shot.
Thank you for the input and advice!
If we’re doing prequels, stealing a joke from the show China, IL: going to the new Free Willy prequel, you know, Imprison Willy
Beseeching anyone who knows about nail polish for advice: I stripped the polish off of my toes, waited about an hour, then took a shower, then waited another hour. When I went to repaint my nails the polish wasn’t applying the way I was expecting and I had to do a half hearted coat and then reapply a second time. Does the remover stick around? Should I more thoroughly wash my toes off or wait longer? Do I just suck at doing this?
It was more of a pain than I was anticipating, but I now have mint green toes with one lavender accent toe. Very neat combination, would recommend, I am now quite adorable
Everybody better be nice to me today, or I’ll tell my large uncle on you
