  • Toes were completely dry, I made sure to wipe them off/dry before application. I did not use lotion.

When I was trying to apply, the polish wasn’t sticking(?) to the nail the way it has previously. Like a little bit adhered, but mostly I was just smearing it around until it kind of dried a tiny bit and I could put more on top of the first layer.

Will definitely try the rubbing alcohol thing first next time, thank you! Should I wait a bit after doing that before painting? I had no idea nail polish thinner existed, I will see about getting some and give it a shot.

Thank you for the input and advice!

  • Beseeching anyone who knows about nail polish for advice: I stripped the polish off of my toes, waited about an hour, then took a shower, then waited another hour. When I went to repaint my nails the polish wasn’t applying the way I was expecting and I had to do a half hearted coat and then reapply a second time. Does the remover stick around? Should I more thoroughly wash my toes off or wait longer? Do I just suck at doing this?

It was more of a pain than I was anticipating, but I now have mint green toes with one lavender accent toe. Very neat combination, would recommend, I am now quite adorable
