Moved to a very conservative area in the US relatively recently. Had to go by the police station for some forms new residents need to fill out. Passed about a dozen Trump flags on the way, surprisingly a few Harris signs as well.
Front and center behind the receptionists in the station is a giant thin blue line flag. It’s one thing when some dipshits in the neighborhood have it out, but this is state government property. I hope to never encounter anyone from the station ever again because that was such a disgusting sight after also spending a very stressful 2 hours at the DMV.
I keep getting whiplash between “they’re just humble hard working folks like in King of the Hill” when somebody makes goofy conversations at the grocery store and “I’m surrounded by people who want to murder my friends” when I see their yards.
All I do in KDE is set it to Breeze Dark, set my taskbar to dock + autohide, and change media keybinds. There’s tons of options but you don’t really have to touch any of them. Default is fine.
They found out about the forbidden numbers and now they’re trying to tear it all down
I bought some GameStop when it was $10 but chickened out and sold it a few days before it went to like $420 a share cuz I thought I was being baited by wallstreetbetters. I only later found out a close friend of mine who is a generally responsible investor was heavily in that and sold at like $200~ to pay off all his medical debt. He’s not rich either, but financially better off than before that happened.
I don’t mess with stocks now.
Came to say this. Its basically indistinguishable except the numbers are smaller. Its why I stopped using my .ml account too because they spread. They are in your house now
I’ve only seen a few episodes here and there from when my partner watched the whole series but I generally liked MLP and this only affirms that opinion.
I haven’t seen the show but I listened to some friends argue about it and one of them said “do you really expect a kids show to have the protagonist curb stomp the evil villain at the end?”
To which I could only respond
The documentary is actually pretty good and a genuine exploration of the guy’s life and art. It doesn’t go as far as saying he’s telling the truth, but it just lets him tell his story and although you can say he’s a crank, he’s really not hurting anyone. He’s stuck to the same story for decades and knows people think he’s crazy when he tells it.
She loves when I call her my “purple people eater”
Unless you actually need the bulbs in tact, my strat is to pull off a bulb then just press really hard on it with the bottom of some canned food or even just the side of the knife. It’ll crack the bulb and let you peel the paper off in one piece. I do it all the time cuz I’m just gonna chop it anyway.
One of the Australian competitors looked like they were just goofing off? They were like bunny hopping and just kinda being silly. She won competitions to qualify for entry, so she has to be legitimately good (I would assume), but she’s also a professor who has done work about deconstructing the break scene, gender in the break scene, etc. So people are wondering if she did it on purpose or if she really just isn’t very good, or what. She got 0 points in all of her matches.
Is there any way to download all the emojis we currently have? I know there’s a github repo, but it’s a few months out of date, and a handful of the images are in .svg format which straight up don’t work in some places I want to post them.
I was on .ml for like a year but like a few others said, I jumped over after the dunk tank got blocked.
Someone posted this for comments.
It’s a more explicitly Marxist-Leninist instance instead of left unity like Hexbear and has more serious comms than shit posting.
Hexbear is Cao Wei, seeking to usher in a new era of peace and stability free of the corruption of the last dynasty. Even if it means cracking a few eggs. Alas, their fate is incompetence of their offspring, to be eventually overthrown by dynastic infighting after their glorious leader perishes
.world is Shu Han, defenders of the status quo. They claim their heritage from , though they are only 7th cousins. They care more about their military than their own children, often casting them aside.
.ml is the Kingdom of Wu, made up of many unique cultures, but always beset on all sides by conflict and corruption. Sometimes friend, sometimes foe, but largely irrelevant in the grand scheme.
The chart for number of communities has Hexbear at like 40% of the pie. So comms for a huge variety of interests, but only a relatively tiny sliver filling them. A blessing and a curse.
They have a list of dates on their FAQ for different devices. It sounds like you may get a few more years beyond when Google cuts off official support. https://grapheneos.org/faq#device-lifetime
