Hmm, I try not to pull it back too tight. Brushing everyday is probably the answer. If I don’t, I get wide and narrow dreads at mid length (which is at the shoulder now!)

My hair in a ponytail somehow gets threaded together over time into dreads, if I leave it for 2+ days. Looking to step my game up on keeping my hair out of my face in I guess a more restrictive way? So it can’t knot itself together? I don’t really understand how it’s happening when it’s bound up in a ponytail either. I’ve got long ass hair now I guess. Pls help
