Here is an article about it that I found for further information: https://www.politico.eu/article/afd-vox-mingle-with-ex-us-border-patrol-chief-white-nationalist-leader-at-remigration-summit/

I don’t love linking Politico, but it’s the only English source I can find. Does anyone have a better one?

Edit: these other sources I just found are definitely heavily editorializing, but not in ways I disagree with LOL. They’re more focused on Bovino specifically vs. the broader conference, so they don’t replace the info in the Politico article, but I am also sharing:

    https://www.rawstory.com/greg-bovino-2676978111/ https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-ousted-border-goon-greg-bovino-launches-maga-revolt-from-far-right-remigration-summit/

Just a reminder that Bovino’s parents live in Blowing Rock, NC and he spends a lot of time there. Do with that what you will.

Because unfortunately we are also full of them on this side of the Atlantic. Chega is already the second most voted party in Portugal and supports the Reconquista group, whose leader, Afonso Gonçalves, is the guy on the right in the image above.

This time the disease appears to be spreading from the new world to the old one. There are many pro-Trump Luso-American businessmen investing in Chega.

P.S.: We’ll see what the reaction of these idiots will be the day that the dementia reminds Trump that he would like to turn the Azores into an Eastern Hawaii. After the Greenland controversy, it doesn’t seem like such an impossible scenario.

Bovino is only 5 foot tall, so he rounded up three other of the shortest dudes he could find for this picture, how vain.

I looked up the event to see that it is indeed a literal white nationalist conference. I won’t link it out of principal but the tagline for the event is:

Shaping the future of Europe and the West through sovereignty, identity, and demographic renewal.

It’s always sunny vibes, the pedophile uncle of charlie obsessed with his small hands, wearing fake large hands.

Bovino is only 5 foot tall so he’s likely self conscious about his, er, sizes, and got some oversized clown shoes like whatshis face, the woke guy, Desantis. He did something similar with his boots to look bigger.

      Pathetic.

The same type of Portuguese that got their asses handed to them in Angola and Mozambique. The racist shitbag, Bovino, should have been denied entry into the EU or arrested and handed over to the ICC.

Given that Bovino commited his crimes in the US, the ICC has no mandate. Unless, you know of crimes he committed in Mexico or Canada. That would change things and might make it a matter for the ICC.

Should have Portugal denied entry? Maybe but I guess people just don’t care enough about some random failure like Bovino.

Rules (2024-08-30)

  1. This is an English-language community. Comments should be in English. Posts can link to non-English news sources when providing a full-text translation in the post description. Automated translations are fine, as long as they don’t overly distort the content.
  2. No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.
  3. Be kind to each other, and argue in good faith. Don’t post direct insults nor disrespectful and condescending comments. Don’t troll nor incite hatred. Don’t look for novel argumentation strategies at Wikipedia’s List of fallacies.
  4. No bigotry, sexism, racism, antisemitism, islamophobia, dehumanization of minorities, or glorification of National Socialism. We follow German law; don’t question the statehood of Israel.
  5. Be the signal, not the noise: Strive to post insightful comments. Add “/s” when you’re being sarcastic (and don’t use it to break rule no. 3).
  6. If you link to paywalled information, please provide also a link to a freely available archived version. Alternatively, try to find a different source.
  7. Light-hearted content, memes, and posts about your European everyday belong in other communities.
  8. Don’t evade bans. If we notice ban evasion, that will result in a permanent ban for all the accounts we can associate with you.
  9. No posts linking to speculative reporting about ongoing events with unclear backgrounds. Please wait at least 12 hours. (E.g., do not post breathless reporting on an ongoing terror attack.)
  10. Always provide context with posts: Don’t post uncontextualized images or videos, and don’t start discussions without giving some context first.

(This list may get expanded as necessary.)

Posts that link to the following sources will be removed

  • on any topic: Al Mayadeen, brusselssignal:eu, citjourno:com, europesays:com, Breitbart, Daily Caller, Fox, GB News, geo-trends:eu, news-pravda:com, OAN, RT, sociable:co, any AI slop sites (when in doubt please look for a credible imprint/about page), change:org (for privacy reasons), archive:is,ph,today (their JS DDoS websites)
  • on Middle-East topics: Al Jazeera
  • on Hungary: Euronews

Unless they’re the only sources, please also avoid The Sun, Daily Mail, any “thinktank” type organization, and non-Lemmy social media (incl. Substack). Don’t link to Twitter directly, instead use xcancel.com. For Reddit, use old:reddit:com

(Lists may get expanded as necessary.)

Ban lengths, etc.

We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.

If need be, there are also bans: 3 days for lighter offenses, 7 or 14 days for bigger offenses, and permanent bans for people who don’t show any willingness to participate productively. If we think the ban reason is obvious, we may not specifically write to you.

If you want to protest a removal or ban, feel free to write privately to the admin that applied the rule (check modlog first to find who was it.)
