yeah I noticed that after I made the comment. it’s an unfortunate placement in the design. it’ll either make you look sort of naked or like you shit your pants.

but I still dig the potential capability for the mate in my life to weave me clothing besides a scarf.

I’d probably ask for a hoodie, or a halvsie.

Wow. It’s been a decade since I saw this. I knit. And every time it makes the rounds someone sends it to me. Even though it’s crotchet. Which is the fast way to irritate a knitter.

I’ve done “boy shorts” before. A lot more work than thongs. But it’s really more about people not knowing the difference between knitting and crocheting. It’s like giving someone who loves metal a Winger CD but it turns out they are a blacksmith.

Its a pun that doesn’t translate well

          Zu warm = too warm

Zuwarmi sounds like tsunami in German

=> This isn’t a heat wave its a heat tsunami

Your app translates “zuwarmi” as “sweltering heat wave”?

Its a pun on tsunami, and not a real word

Whats weird is that it neither tried to do a literal translation nor to preserve the pun, when “too-warm-i”, the literal translation, still is at least pun-adjecant
