I mean, if people understand “no taxation without representation” well, then logically: “no representation without taxation” should be equally easy to get behind.
They are already in our politics, may as well get them to pay for that privilege.
More importantly, if your faith is having an effect on policy… guess what, your religion must now start paying taxes.
