IMO it’s a good point lol. On at least two levels.

    • Putting aside the adventurism, we should encourage those disillusioned by electoralism to still remain engaged in non-electoral work, particularly if it is something they are interested in (obviously discouraging adventurism).

    • There are a lot of Western lefties that cannot imagine a productive program outside of adventurism. They’re detached from the slow, difficult work of long-term organizing and agitation. This can be politically paralyzing because they don’t actually want to bomb the Walmart, and they don’t want to do electoralism, so they do nothing instead.

If I hadn’t seen this same account being incredibly obtuse and shitty just the other day just to, idk, farm drama? I would be a lot more inclined to think he had a point. Also if he wasn’t literally getting paid to farm engagement by twitter: https://xcancel.com/LinkofSunshine/status/1804287056165937495#m

But yeah, you aren’t wrong, this guy’s just a dick and a liberal

And that’s just my level of exposure to him via direct links from hexbear. I don’t go on twitter.

Yeah but the intent of the post and the way its used on social media is for liberals to tut tut leftists for supporting direct action over electorialism. So the comic does happen lol.

hard to keep going when effort is so disconnected from results. not just politics, any kind of personal improvement is like that too. one workout, one therapy session etc have no discernable individual progress, just whatever the effort takes out of you.

forget voting, I haven’t even seen protests be effective here

The only effective protest I have ever witnessed was when chuds in my neighborhood picketed the local recycling center, which they said was causing crime. The landlord of the shopping center in which it was located shut it down by the end of the day.

Not sure if that one’s covered in If We Burn but I’ll keep reading.
