Who said anything about direct payments? Loyal maga scum will slurp it down and buy more of her merchandise and music. Trust me she isn’t losing sales off of supporting maga. And before you say it, yes by her allowing the far right fascists to play her terrible music at rallies she is in fact supporting them.

Swift has more to lose than most

Agreed, she could lose 99% of everything she has and still be comfortably in the 1%

What a fucking take from the journo

He used AI slop to say she endorsed him during the election, and she stayed oddly silent on it for like at least 2 weeks before denouncing it and endorsing Harris. Fuck Taylor Swift. Billionaire filth.

You know how autistic people can recognize autistic people with ease?

There are a lot. And they vary in intensity.

There’s a couple of screeners out there that you can find, I don’t happen to have a link to them right now.

Like one obvious one is hand flapping to specific intense emotions such as excitement or frustration.

Another is your ability to understand and use body language.

Special Interests. Stimulation seeking or sensory avoidance. Specific patterns of speech.

To us, autistic people look normal. Neurotypicals behave in ways that are weird.

Hand flapping is infuriating to me. It’s the source of one of the biggest arguments I’ve ever had. It feels so dismissive.

I have no understanding of body language. Or people. Especially faces.

I can’t even be okay without some kind of stimulation, usually music. When I was in therapy, my therapist found this odd.

I don’t know what this means, but now I’m a bit sad and worried.

I’m sorry, the hand flapping? Not everyone does it. It’s just really obvious. And we can’t control it. Not without losing our shit.

                Bro.

                Can be ADHD. Bro.

Calm. Autism isnt bad it’s just an explanation for things you already know about yourself.

Like maybe you need little ouchy stims. Or maybe you need earplugs everywhere to prevent overstimulation. Or maybe a lot of things.

Basically you just gotta take care of you so you don’t stress the fuck out living in a neurotypical world.

That millions of people consider themselves her fans speaks volumes to how wrong you are. I’m a metalhead but to say in absolutes that she can’t sing in an enjoyable way is ludicrous.

You said that she can’t make enjoyable music. If millions of people enjoy her music, it’s enjoyable.

Millions of people liked Trump, Trump WAS likeable to them when they voted, you can’t deny that part. Them choosing the best choice or not is irrelevant to the point you were making. You didn’t say that her music was bad or derivative. You said that she can’t sing in a way that people enjoy, but people do enjoy it.

I agree. When her vocals are mixed and auto tuned, she sounds great. I think she puts together some pretty great tracks, but I’ve heard her try to sing without any enhancements and I do not like it. In my opinion, she’s an artist, not a singer.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on the topic. I think she’s a pretty great artist who makes wonderful use of auto tune and other modern music-making marvels, but in my opinion saying she is a singer is a stretch of the imagination.

Look, dude, I’m not a T-Swift fan by any means, but she would not have made it this far if she wasn’t a competent singer. Just did a quick search to find her singing live, and I listened to five seconds of this video of her on SNL. She’s not an Adele or Mariah Carey or something, but she’s fine. She does what she needs to do. Saying she relies on autotune and other studio magic is kind of a silly argument. Everyone uses that these days.

Ah, I see. You’re using “not being able to sing” to mean you don’t think she sings well. I remember someone saying Ariana Grande had terrible vocals, even though she’s ranked among the top vocalists, and though you were doing that too.

I don’t like Swift’s music, so I’m not even defending her. It’s just weird when people pull stuff out of their butt around here.

Yeah, you have a very interesting communication style as well, choosing one thing or another at your convenience. And gritty, too, even when someone is willing to meet you in the middle. I don’t see why I bothered.
