I love how she said she gets along with everyone and still went on to say that it’s “impossible to walk around New York City without running into a mentally ill fa***t.” Like, who do you think you’re referring to with that statement? Because it seems to me she’s referring to the drag queen she “gets along with.” At least the hypocrisy remains consistent.

drag queens have a right to… drag? personal life doesn’t impact professional life or affect any parties not involved. People should be able to find their happiness in this fucked up world.

And to be more clear. I’m criticizing people who have let their upbringing convince them that something that is none of their business somehow impacts their personal life

Absolutely, it’s also completely ridiculous that she seems to recognize that drag can be fun and chill, yet continues to double down on the phobia.

It shouldn’t, but the reality is that it does. When someone has a bad day and Karens out, maybe says some especially heinous stuff, maybe says some racist stuff. They usually aren’t at work. They are usually fine at doing their jobs but quite a few people have been fired over stuff like that. That is definitely personal life affecting professional life.

I could keep going, but the reality is that it has become quite acceptable these days to get in professional hot water for what you do when you aren’t on the clock.

Hell, even drug tests at work are usually getting punished in your professional life for your personal life.

Yeah. I might have misspoke in that regard. What my ultimate opinion is that if your personal life isn’t impacted by what stranger’s do, then you have no position to properly speak on it

If these closeted self-hating hypocritical politicians would just increase funding for mental health programs in our country, and then take part in them, maybe they’d realize that normal people wouldn’t hate them for who they are.

Maybe they’d learn than it’s only their foolish party that’s trying to buy the votes of hateful bigots and misogynists via hateful accusations and oppressive policy that seemingly hate everyone, yet can never explain in when pressed up against confession.

Interesting that GOP will list things that they are opposed to and then go and do them. We better make sure this dude isn’t a pedo.

The point of the comment wasn’t to blame the drag queens. It was to reverse the implicit shame of being, “caught,” that’s in the title, giving the connotation that it’s shameful or embarrassing to associate with the GOP candidate, not the other way around. It was just a little quip that I’m sure I’ve made much funnier with this explanation.

Well, take that, established rules of comedy!

…The previous sentence was a reference to common idiom, “If you have to explain the joke, then it’s not funny,” while the current sentence is an example of irony. Here, I am not using irony as it’s colloquially used, which could best be described as a funny coincidence, but rather by its literally definition of, “the use of words expressing something other than their literal intention.” While the literal intention of my words is an explanation of my first and second sentences, the non-literal intention is a continuation of the premise that I am over-explaining my own jokes, thereby using irony to create what some would call a, “meta,” joke.

Huh. It seems like all of these GOP grifters/culture warriors don’t believe a single word that comes out of their own mouths. It’s almost as if they’re pandering to a special select group of Americans that possess very little in the way of critical thinking or even just basic thinking skills, and that group of Americans is keeping these sociopaths in power. The question then is, are we willing to only address the symptoms of a nation with the worst education system in the G7, or the root cause of all of this buffoonery? I’m saying the root cause of most of America’s woes is bad education.

This is such a weird phenomena, but also a sad one. I’m assuming she does enjoy partying with drag queens but is so ashamed about it that she decides to compensate by rallying against them, sort of like how staunch anti-gay politicians are often caught in gay acts.

Or maybe it was just some drunken lapse of her “”“moral beliefs”“”, can’t really tell.

She also questioned how the video of her dancing at a club would be released before videos of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein – both of whom prosecutors allege engaged in sex acts with minors – are released to the public.

Because you were at a public party, you dumb fuck.

NGL, I’ve met 3 people in my life that are/were drag queens. All 3 have tried to get in my pants even though I’m not gay. HOWEVER COMMA, that was just 3 people in that community. That doesn’t define the whole demographic. A person that didn’t grow beyond their narrow upbringing probably wouldn’t have that kind of perspective. It creates fear and shame for who those people really are. Granted I also was not friends with those people. I didn’t know them beyond their persona’s and they didn’t know me beyond barroom shenanigans. But digressing back to my point, if you grow up in a household where your true feelings of how you should live are suppressed, then that creates shame which puts people like this in this position. It’s a way of thought that is quickly diminishing and people are beginning to be able to live how they want regardless of personal opinion. The people who scream against those acts and get caught participating should definitely be criticized, but criticized still with open arms because that’s a victory for all parties.

But, I’m a white cis male, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt

Why do use an example of 3 drag queens hitting on you as an example of them doing something bad? I’ve been hit on by other guys even though I’m straight, and I find it flattering more than anything. It’s not like people know your sexual preferences by looking at you.

Not sure what that first point was about. Drag isn’t as much of a life style as it is a recreation(at least within the context of the Queer community). When Drag Queens go to work, they aren’t doing it in drag. Not sure where you met those three drag queens, but I would guess it was at a party and that you’ve met many, many more drag queens in your life.

I was trying to express that I understood how and why people would be bothered by drag queens themselves. Very narrow minded perspective mind you, but I still understand it and found a way out of it. I m certain those 3 people didn’t mean anything by it. Nor did I mean anything really by saying the number. That’s just how. I don’t let them represent the entire demographic, but I also understand the perspective of those people that have been acclimated to oppose it

Nah, Just run of the mill Republican Hypocrisy.

Like the Anti-Gay pastor that was caught taking a rent boy on an all expenses paid european vacation.

or the anti-gay senator caught trying to proposition a guy in an airport bathroom

or any other anti-whatever republican inevitably being involved/doing/being what they are against.
